Courage is a cowardly and very intelligent pink dog with a few black spots. He was abandoned when he was a puppy and was found by Muriel and she has been looking after him.She lives in the Middle Of Nowhere with her husband Eustace who is an extremely greedy and miserly fellow whose only dream is of becoming rich.He dislikes poor Courage and always calls him,"Stupid Dog!".
